The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Supply Clerk in the Facility Maintenance Section.

Opening Date : April 14, 2023
Closing Date : April 28, 2023
Open to : All interested candidates/ All sources.
Work Schedule : Full-time (40 hours/week)
SALARY : *Ordinarily Resident (OR) : CFA 7,271,427. a. (Starting Salary)
(Position Grade : FSN-05)

ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION :

The Facility (FAC) Supply Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Safety Program Coordinator (APOSHO) and is responsible for the acquisition, storage, inventory control and issuance of building maintenance supplies, repair parts and materials for the Facility Management Section.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

1. EDUCATION : High School diploma is required.

2. EXPERIENCE : Two years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendables or property management is required.

3. LANGUAGE : English - (Good working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
French - (Good working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This may be tested.

4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Strong organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills in MS-Office and data entry.
• Must have a valid, current license. Must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years.
• Must be able to able to lift a maximum of 51 lbs. (23kg) under OSHA standards. This may be tested.

5. JOB KNOWLEDGE :

• Thorough knowledge of parts, materials, tools, and equipment used in the different trades, to include building materials and their characteristics.

• Must also have good knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Facility Maintenance operations and procedures.
• Expert knowledge of warehousing, supply, and storekeeping practices.
• Good knowledge of SHEM safety guidelines.

• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of the operational environment to make recommendations on local vendors.
