The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Travel Clerk in the General Services Office.

Opening Date : October 25, 2023
Closing Date : November 08, 2023
Open to : All interested candidates/ All sources.
Work Schedule : Full-time (40 hours/week)
SALARY : *Ordinarily Resident (OR) : CFA 9,159,388 p.a. (Starting Salary)
(Position Grade : FSN-06)

ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION :

This position is in the General Services Office of the Management Section. Incumbent provides travel services to all official travelers and serves as the Travel Assistant during her absences. He performs airport expediting services for arriving and departing official travelers, including direct customs support for diplomatic couriers. Supervision is provided by the Travel Supervisor FSN 8.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

1. EDUCATION : Completion of secondary school (BAC) is required.

2. EXPERIENCE : Two years’ work experience in airport, international logistics, travel services, and/or visa operations is required.

3. LANGUAGE : English - Good working knowledge Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. French- Fluent Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This may be tested.

4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to deal with immigration, customs, and airline officials. Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Excell and Word. Lift luggage up to 50 lbs. This may be tested.

5. JOB KNOWLEDGE :

• Incumbent must have some knowledges of Burkina Faso airport operations.
