FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK
The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Financial Administrative Clerk in the Financial Section.
Opening Date : March 19, 2024
Closing Date : April 02, 2024

Work Schedule : Full-time (40 hours/week)
SALARY : *Ordinarily Resident (OR) : CFA9,159,388p.a. (Starting Salary/Full-Time)
(Position Grade : FSN-06)

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION :

The Financial Administrative Clerk position is the center for all data and documentation entering into the Financial Management Office (FMO). This position is responsible for the accurate and efficient tracking of this data and documents as they flow through the payment process. The position is responsible for maintenance of the FMO Section’s Accounts Receivable process and acts as collection agent ensuring amounts due are paid. The position acts as the back-up Accountant, processing obligations for State and Other Serviced Agencies. The position also acts as a key FMO Section representative for financial system enhancements and process improvements. The position is the key entry point for the tracking of energy usage for the Embassy, residences, and other applicable buildings.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

1. EDUCATION : Two years of University Studies is required.

2. EXPERIENCE : One year of experience in a business office environment with a focus of accounting and accounting process is required.

3. LANGUAGE : (Good Working Knowledge) spoken/reading/written of English is required.
Level III (Good Working Knowledge) spoken/reading/written of French is required. This may be tested.

1. SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Ability to write and communicate effectively in French and English is required. Analytical skill and excellent interpersonal skills combined with an attention to detail and high-level of accuracy are essential. Must be computer literate with good Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to handle high stress situations. Confidentiality is required concerning sensitive payment issues... This may be tested.

2. JOB KNOWLEDGE : In depth knowledge of accounting, office administration and electronic accounting systems is required.
