USAID Project Management Specialist (HIV/AIDS) - FSN/11
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION :

U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) is recruiting one Cooperating Country National (CCN) Personal Service Contractor (PSC) to serve at USAID Project Management Specialist (HIV/AIDS Specialist) at USAID Burkina Faso Country Office. The incumbent will work closely with the Health Office Director, the PEPFAR interagency team and USAID/West Africa Regional Health Office HIV/AIDS staff in planning, implementing, and monitoring PEPFAR activities and will liaise with PEPFAR backstops in USAID/West Africa Regional Health Office and USAID Washington’s Office of HIV/AIDS, counterparts in the Office of Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) and other USAID personnel working within and overseeing the Mission’s activities related to HIV/AIDS Control.

With over $10 million of “Game Changer Funds” PEPFAR activities are a significant portion of the Health Office’s Portfolio. With both a national focus and targeted districts, implemented through USAID’s field support mechanism and regional projects, the PEPFAR program has a considerable and growing workload. Burkina Faso has demonstrated significant progress to date on the clinical cascade : 1st 90 – 88% ; 2nd 90 – 65% ; 3rd 90 – 45%. PEPFAR aims to reach the national 90-90-90 clinical goals and reach epidemic control by 2021 through a targeted focus on the highest burden sites for People living with HIV (PLHIV) and Key Populations (KPs) in the Centre, Hauts-Bassins, and Centre Ouest Regions with technical assistance to other sites.

The job holder is required to perform work-related travel.
