Sustain for Life, an international NGO (http://www.sustainforlife.org/) is looking for a self-directed, experienced operations person to hire as Program Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Program Management and Development : Responsible for development of the strategic plans, work plans and implementation, through local partners, in coordination with SLF Executive Director and international team members

• Grants Management : develop guidelines for documenting project proposals, for monitoring their implementation ; assessment of grant applications ;

• Organizational Governance : Ensuring compliance with all local laws and SFL policies ; development of policies and procedures
• Finance Management : Responsible for all payments, monitoring expenses, preparing tax contributions, financial reporting ; good practices in purchasing
• Management of Assets : Tracking and maintenance of all SFL assets ; policy development and auditing
• Management of Operations : Negotiating and developing service agreements ; managing all contracts, oversee all operations

Desired Skills and Competencies

-  A University degree in any related domain (BAC+4)
-  At least 5 years of management experience, heavy emphasis on operations
-  Proof of experience providing good governance, and managing operations
-  Experience managing financial aspects of a business
-  Experience developing procedures
-  Experience working for an NGO is desired
-  Candidate MUST be fully bilingual English and French
-  Candidates with fluency in Gourmantchema will be given preference

-  Able to work alone without supervision
-  Good communication skills, report writing, public speaking/ providing workshops
-  Good communications with projects and partner NGOs
-  Able to use word processing, spreadsheets, email, skype or other video conferencing platforms

The position requires up to 25% travel time, largely in the areas of Northern Togo (Savannes), Northern Benin (Atacora / Alibori) and Burkina (Est, Centre Est & Plateau Central).

Compensation and Benefits

Expected Salary : 900 000 – 1 100 000 F CFA NET depending on experience level
Contract will be in accordance with Burkina law
The position is Management and therefore no overtime is included.
One month of vacation is provided after 12 months of service is completed, as well as all regulated holidays.

Offering a CDD (fixed duration contract) of 24 months (2 years)
Some coverage of medical expenses, and either use of a service vehicle or compensation for vehicle usage will be provided.
