ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS (See Appendix for definition) MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION : This position is located in the General Services Office of the Management Section. Incumbent provides travel services to all official travelers and serves as the Travel Assistant during her absences. He performs airport expediting services for arriving and departing official travelers, including direct customs support for diplomatic couriers. Supervision is provided by the Travel Assistant FSN 7. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : 1. EDUCATION : Completion of secondary school education is required. 2. EXPERIENCE : Two years work experience in airport, international logistics, travel services, and/or visa operations is required. 3. LANGUAGE : Level III English (Good Working Knowledge) speaking and writing is required. Level IV French (fluency) speaking and writing is required. These may be tested. 4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Ability to use and comprehend trouble shooting data processing. Proven ability to carry out projects with limited supervision. Tactful. Ability to accurately and quickly evaluate condition of furniture and furnishings. These may be tested 5. JOB KNOWLEDGE : Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to deal with immigration, customs, and airline officials. Possession of a valid driver’s license. Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Lift luggage up to 50 lbs.
