The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Chauffeur in the General Services SectionThe U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Chauffeur in the General Services Section Opening Date : July 09, 2019 ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS (See Appendix for definition) MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION : This position is located in the Management Section of the General Services Office’s Motorpool. Incumbent operates motor vehicles to transport passengers, documents, parcels, pouches, and distributes official invitations and correspondence as required. Works different shifts on a rotating basis to provide adequate availability of drivers to meet the Mission’s needs. Works American and Burkina Faso holidays and weekends on a rotational basis. Daily supervision is provided by the Motorpool Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : 1. EDUCATION : Completion of primary school education is required. 3. LANGUAGE : Level II Speaking/ Reading /Writing of English is required. Level III Speaking/ Reading /Writing of French is required. These may be tested. 5. JOB KNOWLEDGE : Thorough knowledge and familiarity of Burkina Faso roads and driving conditions and restrictions. Must be familiar with city layout of Ouagadougou area and its suburbs, and have sound knowledge of Burkina Faso Government and other important buildings. Must know how to read road maps. Protocol knowledge for driving VIP customers.
