Opening Date : April 18, 2024 ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION : This position is located in the Management Section of the General Services Office’s Motorpool. Incumbent operates motor vehicles to transport passengers, documents, parcels, pouches, and distributes official invitations and correspondence as required. Works different shifts on a rotating basis to provide adequate availability of drivers to meet the Mission’s needs. Works American and Burkina Faso holidays and weekends on a rotational basis. Daily supervision is provided by the Motorpool Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : 1. EDUCATION : Completion of primary school is required. 2. EXPERIENCE : Minimum of two years of experience as a professional chauffeur or driver is required. 3. LANGUAGE : English : Limited speaking, reading & writing knowledge is required. 4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have good eyesight and ability to operate sedans, passenger vans, small and medium trucks with safety and expertise, both standard and automatic transmissions. Must be able to maintain precise written transportation records. Ability to work as a member of a team and able to drive long distance in rural areas throughout Burkina Faso. Must be able to maintain valid driver medical clearance. Basic typing skill is required.
