jeudi 13 juin 2024.The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Gardener in the Facility Maintenance Section. Opening Date : June 07, 2024 ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION. BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION : The gardener is responsible for performing gardening care and grounds maintenance at Mission office facilities including associated agencies, as well as other U.S. Government (USG) owned and leased properties as directed and at the official residences of the Principal Officials at post. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED : 1. EDUCATION : Completion of primary School is required. 2. EXPERIENCE : A minimum of two (2) years of gardening experience is required. 3. LANGUAGE : Rudimentary verbal skills spoken/reading/written of English is required. Limited knowledge speaking, reading & writing spoken/reading/written of French is required. This may be tested. 4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES : 5. JOB KNOWLEDGE : Good working knowledge of how to plant/transplant shrubs, flowers etc. typical for the area required. Maintenance of gardens and lawns using knowledge of gardening techniques are required. 6.
