IS INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION : Computer Management Assistant

(Position is open to all Burkina nationals and those eligible for permanent residence and authorization to work in Burkina Faso). The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is the leading U.S.

Computer Management Assistant - FSN-9

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION :

This position, located in the Burkina Faso Country Office, manages all aspects of Information Technology (IT) for USAID/Burkina Faso. The job holder provides technical support to Mission users by installing, maintaining, and repairing computer equipment to include Local Area Network (LAN) systems, PCs, core servers, and network devices. Job holder advises Mission personnel concerning issues related to computer and telecommunications. S/he performs and provides analysis, programming, operations, and management advisory services in support of increasing efficiency and effectiveness of operations through increased automation.

S/he manages maintenance of the Mission intranet pages. Job holder also leads procurement activities of Information Technology (IT) equipment and software for Burkina Faso.

The job holder reports to the Country Representative, and also works closely with the IT Division of the Executive Office (EXO) of USAID/Senegal, as well as receives technical guidance from USAID M/CIO. The job holder largely works independently on day to day required duties.

The job holder may be expected to perform work-related travel.
