Christian Aid is now looking to recruit a Monitoring & Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer to support our development and humanitarian work in Burkina-Faso and across Africa.

About the role
The role purpose is :
-  To lead, manage and strengthen monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) systems to enable effective and accurate reporting for decision making and project implementation.
-  To promote effective and efficient monitoring and evaluation of programme activities, centred on impact and outcomes ; create conditions so that learning is fed into programme decision-making.

-  To contribute towards building the CA country programme and partner’s capacity to develop and use participatory approaches to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning for effective project implementation for results.
-  To lead monitoring, impact evaluation, knowledge management and donor reporting processes. Facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned with external stakeholders, where possible. Encourage active knowledge management and organizational learning needs using Monitoring and Evaluation findings.
-  To Develop and work towards the implementation of the digital M&E system and data quality assurance within CA and all partners. The role holder would be expected to support partners & the team to institute effective systems of tracking results for their work and build evidence for fundraising and for developing new projects using documented best practice

About you
This role sits within the Program role family in the International Department.
This role is key in providing the programme wider supports including capacity building to CA partnerships and programmes on MEAL including results framework, impact measurement, documenting and disseminating lessons learnt, database management and supporting all programme staff to prioritise cross cutting issues such as Gender thinking including the principles of inclusion, power and participation among others. This role plays a significant contribution on the assigned projects/ interventions as well as to support the fulfilment of compliance with donors’ MEAL requirements. It will also support the Burkina Faso country programme on programme quality control – and will significantly manage the country programme M&E databases and budgets in collaboration with the programme staff
