REALTY ASSISTANT

The U.S. Mission in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Realty Assistant in the General Services Office.

Opening Date : May 05, 2021

Closing Date : May 19, 2021

Open to : All Interested Applicants / All Sources

Work Schedule : Full-time (40 hours/week)

SALARY : *Ordinarily Resident (OR) : CFA 13,369,191p.a. (Starting Salary)
(Position Grade : FSN-08)

ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT (OR) APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION :

The incumbent is responsible for seeing that all real estate contracts (leases with landlords and other forms of contracts) are completed timely, accurately and in accord with local and U.S. laws. Serves as Housing Coordinator to the General Services Office. Directly supervises one Housing Assistant. The position is located in the General Services Office, reporting directly to the General Services Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

1. EDUCATION : College degree in Business Administration, Real property management, Architecture, Law or Economics is required.
2. EXPERIENCE : Three years of progressively more responsible experience in real estate management or leasing is required.

3. LANGUAGE : English-(fluency) reading/speaking/writing is required. French-(fluency) reading/speaking/writing is required. Moore (good working knowledge) speaking is required These may be tested.

4. SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of contacts. Ability to write and explain technical leasing agreements and contracts in English and French. Ability to use computer programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel or Mission specific software. Must have good interpersonal skills and customer service skills. These may be tested.

5. JOB KNOWLEDGE :
• Good working knowledge of Department of State procurement and contracting practices. Must have a good knowledge of local practices and understand local pricing customs.
